Team Sep 18, 2019 Faith Malavu Director Faith Malavu is a Kenya Registered Nurse, midwife, critical care specialist. She attained her Bsc. Healthcare Management at the American World University and an MBA at Esami University. Faith worked at the Nairobi Hospital ICU and Renal Unit for a period of fifteen years. She has been the head of the Nairobi hospital Unit for a period of 6 years. She later became the founding Matron at the Karen Hospital where she worked directly with the Chief Executive and Chief Physician in setting up the facility and she was the Management Representative for Quality Management Systems (QMS) at Karen Hospital. Faith Malavu was appointed the Managing Director of Mcare, a facility that provides both curative and preventative care management coupled with a medical call Centre and turned into a profitable company during her tenure. Faith was also the Chief Operations Officer of Genius Health Ltd, a provider of micro health insurance and related technologies. She is currently a Director at Mcare and Genius Health Limited. She has recently co-founded Ava Medicare Limited and champions the homecare/post-hospitalization services as one of the major products for AVA. She has attended extensive training workshops on End Stage Kidney Disease Management, Critical Care, Management and Leadership, PRINCE 2 Project Management held in Europe, the United States and South Africa. Esther N. Gachoya Director A dynamic Kenya Registered Nurse with 14 years of working experience in Critical Care at Nairobi Hospital, Cardiac Nursing at the Nairobi Heart Clinic and Fortis Malar Hospital in India and later became the Matron at the Karen Hospital. Esther Gachoya has participated in nursing research and authored several articles in The Nairobi Hospital Journal. She developed professional clinical competences in developing policy manuals for hospitals, capital expenditure budgets, hospital strategic planning, recruitment of nursing staff and medical legal case reporting. Notable achievements include developing the Karen Hospital strategic plan, established the Karen Hospital School of Nursing. Esther has trained hospital staff in emergency courses, customer care, and supervision. She is a qualified trainer in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), a qualified Auditor and Management Representative (MR) in Quality Management Systems (QMS) at Karen Hospital.
